"This is the first work of the Aethere project by Loki Deformis. "Pulvis et Umbra Sumus..." introduces to us five songs, which can be placed within a stylistic area close to the dark-ambient genre, more "lyric-like" than "catacomb-like". This project, even if it displays the limitations of a debut work - mostly regarding some compositional naiveties, the use of the sounds of excessively “synthetic” tone, and the presence of rhythmic parts where the sequences and the metallic sounds (hit-hat, cymbals) and percussions (for example, kettledrums) also clearly seem unnatural and synthetic – it shows the signals of a substantial creativity, ability in thinking, composing and elaborating quite complex parts, as well as capacity in conceiving and realizing in sound form interesting and potentially emotional atmospheres...."
